Welcome from the Headteacher
Manor Primary School is a happy, calm and caring, family-orientated community, at the heart of the Beechwood Estate, where every child is known, valued and supported. We are proud to provide a safe, well-resourced learning environment where inclusion is at the heart of everything we do.
We believe that every child can succeed. As a team, we have high expectations for all our pupils and are committed to ensuring that each child is supported, challenged and inspired to reach their full potential. We celebrate individuality, remove barriers to learning and work tirelessly to make sure every child feels a true sense of belonging.
At Manor, we have a deep love of reading. Reading opens doors to imagination, knowledge and opportunity, and it underpins success across the curriculum. From Nursery through to Key Stage 2, we prioritise early reading and phonics, nurture a culture of reading for pleasure and ensure that every child develops the confidence and fluency they need to thrive. Our ambition is that every child leaves Key Stage 1 as a reader — and continues to grow as a reader throughout their time with us.
Education is a strong partnership between home and school. We place great value on our relationships with parents and carers because we know children learn best when we work together. Ensuring that your child attends school every day is our one big ask — excellent attendance allows children to fully access our ambitious curriculum and make the most of every opportunity.
We hope our website gives you a real sense of what makes Manor special. Here you will find key information about school life, how to support your child with reading, homework and spelling, and what your child will be learning each term.
We are proud to be part of Leading Learners Academy Trust, working in partnership with fantastic children, dedicated staff and supportive families to ensure every pupil achieves their very best.
