SOCIAL MEDIA SITES Just a reminder to associates of Manor Primary (pupils, parents, governors, staff, etc) as to Wirral Borough Council and Manor Primary School stance on social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, etc.
Associates of Manor Primary are asked not to:-
“use social networking sites as a forum to make derogatory comments which could bring the school into disrepute, including making comments about pupils, parents, other staff members, the senior leadership team, governors, local authority or the wider community.
As any such comments will result in legal advice being sought and further action being taken if deemed necessary. Staff are discouraged from accepting friend requests from parents and pupils of the school as per Council advice.
In relation to posting photo’s of the school and/or pupils/staff and details relating to the school are covered by the Data Protection and therefore must not be published on such sites to ensure adequate safeguarding (see Data Security and Protection).
