Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
This year we will be emailing out school reports to parents on Monday, 6th July.
Therefore, could I ask parents to ensure we have at least one email address per household to receive these. For separated parents, please ensure we have both parents email addresses and kindly inform us if you are separated and require a second email sending.
Please inform us by emailing schooloffice@manor.wirral.sch.uk to ensure we have the correct addresses.
Normal Lunch Arrangements are Back
We are now back to normal lunch arrangements for Keyworker Club and classes who have returned, which are as follows:-
1. Packed lunch
2. Paid school dinners at £2.30 per meal (pay at the start of the week)
3. Free School Meals (FSM) - children whose parents are in receipt of certain benefits are eligible
4. Universal Infants Free School Meals (UIFSM) - this is for children in F2 to Y2 who are not eligible for FSM.
One weeks notice is required to move between packed lunches and school dinners, please inform the office.
Reminder to FSM, if your child is in school and you receive a voucher you will need to provide your child a packed lunch. If you prefer school to provide the dinner instead, no voucher will be issued til the end of term.
To check your eligibility for Free School Meals, apply at https://www.cloudforedu.org.uk/ofsm/sims-wirral, who will notify us either way.
Summer holiday meal vouchers will be ordered on the 10th July for those on our list at that point.
Any queries please contact the school office on 0151 677 3152 or schooloffice@manor.wirral.sch.uk
If your child is attending school and being provided a school lunch then you will no longer receive meal vouchers - this will be phased as children return to school.
Those that are eligible and receive meal vouchers, will have received this weeks (15.06.20) vouchers today. And should hopefully receive next weeks (22.06.20) tomorrow.
Remember if you have any issues to contact the school office via email and Miss Purkis (Business Manager) will endeavour to resolve this issues. Otherwise contact the voucher provider directly at freeschoolmealsparentscarers@edenred.com.
If you are in receipt of certain benefits you may be eligible for free school meals by applying here:- https://www.cloudforedu.org.uk/ofsm/sims-wirral/
Many thanks.
5th June 2020
Dear Parents & Carers,
Reopening School Paused
Firstly, many apologies for the late notice and the difficulties this will cause you but we will not be opening for children in Year 6 and F2 next week as planned.
Unfortunately, late today, we have been made aware that the most recent reproduction (R) median value for the North West is reported as being 1.01. The Secretary of State has previously made it clear as one of his 5 tests that the R value should be below 1 before it would be safe for schools to open for more children.
Wirral Local Authority have indicated to us that they are supportive of schools pausing their plans to bring in additional pupils at this point. Having consulted with our Governors, we feel that regrettably this is what we must do.
We will, as we always have, remain open for keyworkers and vulnerable children. We will however be unable to start increasing our numbers further to Y6 and F2 until we receive further advice or until the rate is once again below 1. We expect to get daily advice from public health and Wirral LA as next week progresses and will keep you fully informed about when we can re-start our plans.
I know how you have all prepared your children for returning to school and this may affect your ability to work. I know you will agree however, that we must be very careful in this difficult situation and ensure we are keeping the health and safety of all children and staff as our number one priority. We will continue to provide online learning on our school website.
Yours sincerely
Mrs N. Tonge
Acting Headteacher
